About Odiyan

Odiyan.org

Odiyan is a Buddhist monastic community in Northern California started by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche. The work/study program consists of a dynamic community of 30 to 40 residents who range in age, background, nationalities and commitments. Life at Odiyan ranged from mindfulness and meditation, temple construction, sacred art bronze casting, Tibetan text preservation (in conjunction with Dharma Publishing), and Tibetan Language Studies.
